This is my first time visiting this mystique island and I'm very excited. Two years of recordings has finally been shaped into an album. I’ve been through nearly every possible emotion, making this album so this deserves fireworks and parades, I think. The album is produced by Gæst Vincent and myself, recorded in Aalborg. Players include among others Mikael K, Nikolaj Heyman, Michael Friis and Alan Doherty (gradamusic.com). The album is mastered in Chicago by Jason Ward. That is what the music magazine GEIGER wrote about the second album of 29-year-old danish writer/artist Lasse Vestergaard. Tom Andersen (Howe Gelb, Giant Sand, Marie Frank etc.) has mixed and mastered and provided the warm and ancient analogue sound. Vestergaard is a well toured songwriter in all of Europe with nearly a hundred concerts and showcases. In the summer of 2005 he played legendary venues in New York City with kindred spirits such as Jesse Harris and Tara Angell, and he has supported award winning artists as José Gonzáles and Tiger Lou. The two albums clearly shows the talent and the direction of a young and fast growing artist, but it is on stage, Vestergaard has really proved his potential to write great songs and deliver himself. The songs, lyrics and melodies, are a touch of gentle and thoughtful acoustic music and trad.folk, where intimacy, nerve and melancholy detpth makes itself felt.
